Rebecca P. Johnson is a Utah-born artist, whose current body of work focuses on the struggles of anxiety, depression, and overwhelm portrayed through self-portraiture.
Rebecca is an art teacher at Rolling Meadows Elementary where she strives to encourage all students to find their creative voice. She believes in introducing a variety of mediums to students and allowing them to find their personal preferences. She strongly believes if an individual can unlock their creativity and try something new, they will find greater success inside and outside of the art room.
Rebecca's love of art has been cultivated since she was a small child and developed exponentially under the direction of her high school art teacher Peggy Gibson. After high school, she studied art and earned degrees at both UVU and UofU. Her work has hung and earned various awards at the Springville Museum of Art- Spring Salon, AAUW Women's Show, Eccles Art Center Women's Creative Edge Show, SLCC President's Show, Utah State Fair, and various other venues.
