Stephen Henry

I am a painter who relies heavily on plein air for my creations.   I have spent the last several years developing skills and knowledge from direct observation in the field. I am fortunate to have learned from many giants in the field of plein air, both through workshops and painting elbow to elbow at events and outings. I have been fortunate to have success in both awards and sales.   Most of my success was fostered in the mountains of the west, in particular, Utah.   I will return there for the summers to continue my adventures there.   Now that I am back home in Texas after living in Utah for 18 years, however, I am anxious to rediscover my original muse inspiration in the sights and scenes of the Texas landscape! My first competition en plein air in my home state took place in Buda last September, and I was lucky enough to win Best if Show.   I look forward to this event, and more important to me than competition and sales, I can’t wait to make new friends and connections.
