this painting is a commentary on the extinction of Honey Bees. I wanted to do a painting that reflected the beauty of bees and the intricacy of the hive, while foreshadowing the ominous nature of their extinction. I do not know the impact of their extinction; I can imagine that the worst case scenario would be our own demise, while the best case scenario would be no honey.
